The training prepares you to be able to offer holistic therapies as a massage therapist recognized by the professional associations of Quebec and Canada.
In Ayurvedic massage, treatments are based on the basic principles of traditional multi-millennia medicine called Ayurveda “knowledge of life”, which is recognized by the World Health Organization.
By alternating tonic and relaxing movements, Ayurvedic massage offers multiple benefits. It reduces nervous tension, improves circulation, and detoxifies the body. Special oil and plant extracts are used to take advantage of their detoxifying and draining virtues, and thus favor the elimination of toxins.
In order to restore energy flow, the massage therapist learns to use kneading, pressing, and stroking techniques focusing on energy meridians, marma points, and so on. The Ayurvedic massage touches several areas of the body: Abhyanga on the whole body, Shiro Dhara on the forehead, etc.
Treatments are always made using natural products – vegetable oil, medicinal plants and spices, essential oils, floral waters, ghee (clarified butter), clay, etc.
Combined with the Holistic Health Coach training or Module 2 additional cares, the training counts 1,000 hours in Ayurvedic Massage Therapy.
