Massage with Foot, in French, Laval QC
The first time in Montreal! 🤸♀️🤸♀️
Barefoot massage is Ayurvedic treatment.
It dates back thousands of years in many countries and cultures, including India (Chavutti Thirumal, Marma Kalari), Japan (Shiatsu), Fiji, the Philippines and the United States (Oriental Bar Therapy, Rossiter), to name a few.
This technique was usually performed with the client on the bare floor or on a padded mat, and some still do. But Western foot massage is done with the client on a massage table. Another difference is that the session may involve therapeutic oils, creams or lotions, or no lubrication if the client remains clothed.
Tanya Dakhno-Lakeev (www.shanticlinic.com) learned this technique from her Ayurvedic teacher Arun de Puttaparthy in India. The teacher belongs to the traditional Ayurvedic massage school in Kerala.
Tanya is offering this training for the first time in Canada. Probably, no one in Montreal or Quebec is using this treatment yet. But there are many advantages to it. For the clients as well as for the practitioners.
Clients will get a good deep massage of all the solid parts of their body, especially the back, legs and arms (in some cases).
The practitioner uses his legs instead of his arms, so physically it is easier, less demanding for the practitioner’s body. We practice foot massage because it preserves our bodies, and we can give the pressure needed to help treat chronic pain without hurting OUR BODY in the process.
Come and learn it so that your family members, friends and clients can benefit.
You will learn how to give proper care and receive your own treatment during this one-day training.
Be the first to learn and the first to deliver!
Tuition is $189
