Here at Shanti Holistic Laval, while we had 3 events going on at the same time, we had an even bigger surprise visit.
It all started normally for us… There is an Ayurvedic massage class with clients for treatments, there are clients for donation-based diagnostics and here they are… 4 young men, in good shape, knock on Shanti’s door looking for a massage service.
Great, we had a perfect and very experienced therapist with us, specializing in sports and post-trauma massage. So the men received a Shirodhara treatment for a healthy mind or sports therapy massages.
Imagine who these 4 men are?
They are field hockey players from the Bermuda club playing here at the Bell Centre in Laval during the World Hockey Championship.
ISBHF World Field Hockey Championship. 23 men’s and women’s teams from 17 countries will compete in Laval. The International Street and Ball Hockey Federation (ISBHF) World Field Hockey Championship is taking place in Laval, Quebec starting Tuesday. Some of the greatest players and teams in field hockey are competing for the top prize.
This year marks the 14th men’s and 8th women’s world championships hosted by the ISBHF, which hopes to make field hockey a sport of the Summer Olympics. After the 2021 tournament was cancelled due to coronavirus concerns, 17 countries and 23 men’s and women’s teams will compete in Canada, which will host it for the third time (2001 in Toronto; 2013 in St. John’s, Newfoundland).
