I was born in Ukraine where I spent my youth and early adulthood. I graduated from the University of Shevchenko with a Master of Arts in journalism, but my life took an unexpected turn when my family and I decided to immigrate to Canada in 1996.
We settled in Toronto, which fascinated me by its multiculturalism and all the opportunities that existed in this large city. I felt embraced by my new country and quickly integrated myself into the local Ukrainian community. I wrote a lot of articles for different local and international Ukrainian papers and produced several TV shows. In pursuit of new stories, I started discovering my spiritual side. I felt a strong need to look deeper into myself, to re-evaluate my value system and my priorities.
Equipped with my newfound spirituality, I looked at life differently and I no longer desired the hustle and bustle of a hectic career. When my family and I moved to Quebec in 2003, I was startled to learn how high the suicide rate was, given that there are so many beautiful cathedrals in this province. This knowledge pushed me to want to help others and to study natural healing.
In 2006, I made my first trip to the Indian ashram of the avatar Sai Baba. During this trip, I also visited the residence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama; a privilege, I believe, made possible by the relationships and camaraderie I developed with kindred spirits and my terrestrial teachers.
By studying Qi-Gong, Reiki, and yoga, my self-awareness was raised to all the possibilities that the Universe had to offer and my inner world grew to know no boundaries. I became happier then I had ever been before in my life, and I came to understand that every being whom I meet was here to teach me something. Hence, I now have a special place in my heart for everyone whom I encounter.
This is my mission, my Dharma – a necessity for everyone searching unity, guidance and enlightenment.
Namaste!
